Products I'm loving at the minute!

Products I'm loving at the minute!

MUA powder blushers- in cupcake, candyfloss and bon bon I love these blushers as they are very pigmented and show up really well on the skin, cupcake and Bon Bon are very matte whilst candyfloss has a little shimmer.

Sephora lipstick- unfortunately I couldn't tell you what this lipstick Is called as I was bought this by my best friend when she visited New York, but I absolutely love this lipstick, It goes onto the lips very smoothly and almost like a gloss then sets very matte and almost like a velvet lipstick, The shade is almost like a 'kylie Jenner' lip once applied.

No7 Extreme Length Extend- I love this mascara as it is a fibre enriched formula so it really adds length to my eyelashes, I also love how it isn't clumpy or leaves you with huge blobs of mascara stuck to the end of your lashes, I also accidentally picked up the colour black/brown rather than just black but I found that I really liked It as I have green eyes and it really made my eyes stand out and look a lot more green.

L'OREAL Glam Bronze- I have been wanting to find a good bronzer that isn't pricey and this is definitely what I was wanting, It doesn't go onto the skin too dark or too light, It's very glowy and gives a really dewy look, although It has shimmer It isn't too shimmery and doesn't look like you've put your face In a pile of glitter.

EOS lipbalm- I can't get enough of this strawberry scented lipbalm, again my friend brought this back from her trip to New York, It moisturises so well! as the last thing I want Is horrible chapped and cracked lips when applying my favourite lipstick.

what's some of your favourites at the moment?

Thank you

Four little beauties

Four little beauties

It is that time again when christmas has just gone and i'm trying to use up all the five thousand bottles of body wash, shower gel and any other smelly product that i recieved at christmas (which i think they may have been trying to tell me something)

But, i came to using these four little beauties....

...3 mini body shop body lotions and a poor odd one out shower gel

I've tried every one of them and fell in love with each first use but i guess i'll start with my favourite.

I think you may be able to tell this was my favourite, but it's the MANGO shower gel, this smells AMAZING i guess theres no other way to explain how it smells other than the name, and not only that. The smell lingers on me for a long time, i loved how it lathered up and gave me that fresh morning feeling.

My second best is of course what is the perfect match to the MANGO shower gel is the MANGO body whip

This is devine to apply after using the shower gel as it helps the scent to linger for even longer, it makes my skin incredibly soft, and with only a small amount as a little goes a long way.

Next is the COCONUT body milk

Now i'm not going to lie, i'm usually not a fan of coconut scented things but this smells gorgeous,it's not too coconutty.. If thats even a word it's a very soft smell and would be lovely to use as a holiday/vacation smell.

And finally it's the WHITE MUSK LIVERTINE body lotion.

Again this is a very soft musky scent (i.e the name) scent that is great to use on a night after you've just got out of a nice relaxing bath, as crazy as it sounds it's almost a scent that could make you drop to sleep.

there's four of my little body beauties that i would recommend to anyone! They're all so lovely and gentle on the skin and i may possibly be opting for the full sized bottles next time..

Feel free to leave any comments about any of your favourite body shop products  or questions.

Out of the shower hair care routine

&

 how I create my waves

I'm quite obsessive when it comes to my hair and how I treat and style it, although my hair is not healthy in the slightest, I still try to keep it looking healthy at least. last year I had my hair cut off to my shoulders which at the time I liked, but when you want to grow your hair, its clearly not the best idea and if your like me and can't help but put heat on it nearly everyday, there's not much chance that it is going to be healthy. I've been doing the same routine for my hair quite a while now to get it to look as healthy as it can whilst being awfully dead and dry.

Here's my routine:

I go a little bit crazy with washing my hair, I use to wash it every single day and because my hair got use to it, my hair would go greasy if I went a day without washing it, but I have now somehow managed to be able to wash it a day then leave it a day.
when I do wash it I use the Garnier Ultimate Blends shampoo and conditioner which I think is really nice for dry/frizzy hair as it contains coconut oil and cocoa butter which is great for smoothing and softening the hair for that sleek look.

After getting out of the shower I like to let my hair sit in my towel for about 5 minutes just to let the towel soak up any access water, I will then take my hair out of the towel and brush through my hair with my tangle teezer which is amazing for getting those annoying tangles out. When my hair is damp I will then finger comb through my Frizz-ease curl reviver by the John Frieda collection to help tame frizz and define and hold my curls better.

I then put in a small amount of the LANZA keratin healing oil at the ends of my hair, this just helps keep my hair incredibly soft and smooth with a radiant shine and it is ideal for all types of hair.

Just before I dry my hair I spritz the Schwarzkopf got2b guardian angel heat protection throughout my hair to protect my hair against heat damage (Its not like It's damaged already...) I then dry my hair as normal, I don't section my hair when drying it just because I'm a bit of a time saver and maybe a little bit lazy...

After all of my hair is fully dried I like to curl/wave my hair as my hair holds curls quite well, I'm then able to have second day curls without out having to add any extra heat.

To do this I use the Babyliss pro curling wand

and here's how I do so...

It's pretty simple, first I section off my hair from just above my ears and split the section down the back, bringing the two sections to the front.

Then taking 1inch sections I wrap the section of hair around the curling wand wrapping it away from my face and holding for about 5-10 seconds depending on how loose or tight I want the curls.

Repeating this with every section of my hair until it is all curled/waved. For me, the messier the better.

and here's what I end up with (most of the time)

Autumn lipsticks

Autumn lipstick

So autumn is here once again and I have started to become a little more daring with wearing a dark bold lip, I think dark lips are an Autumn statement as I have seen many people work it. Although it is one of those things you have to spend time on to perfect or it could just go terribly wrong and won't look so good. As I have started wearing dark lips this Autumn, I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my favourite, good quality lipsticks.

Rimmel London (128 starry-eyed)

I really like this lipstick it is quite a matte lipstick although you wouldn't have thought it by the name, I don't find it to smudge and it's rather long lasting and doesn't dry my lips out, I think it would also be a great colour to wear for halloween!

M.A.C (Kanga rouge)

unfortunately I don't know which collection this came from but its a lovely shade of red for autumn/winter, again it's a matte lipstick, whenever I wear this I tend to apply it with a lip brush just so I have that neat edge,It's definitely long lasting but I find I have to apply a lip moisturiser before applying as It can sometimes stick to the dry parts on my lips, aside from that I love this!

Seventeen stay pout (Just a fling)

Now this lipstick I really do love, yup....another matte lipstick. I love this for when I don't really want to wear too much of a dark lip but still want an Autumn coloured lip. Its very long lasting as when I wear it I don't have to keep re-doing it. I find it to be moisturising and a gorgeous colour, great for those of you who aren't quite daring enough to go for a bold lip just yet!

Favourite drugstore foundations

My favourite drugstore foundations

I've always been the type who loves trying different make-up products and seeing which products work well with my type of skin (in which case is dry...very dry.) I tend to splurge more on the base like foundation and powder rather than eye shadows and mascara's, although I do love a good lipstick. I've tried so many different foundations to try and find that foundation that I'm happy with and doesn't break me out, thankfully, I'm quite lucky with my skin as I don't really get spots that much but I do have quite bad dark circle's under my eyes which is rather annoying when it comes to finding a good concealer and foundation to cover them...but recently I've tried some pretty good foundations that have left me feeling happy that I purchased them so I thought I would share my favourites and my opinions on them with you.

 Bourjois healthy mix serum-£10.99

I'm a big fan of this foundation which probably explains why I have 3 empty bottles and half way through my fourth ,It leaves a really nice dewy and healthy finish to my skin without it feeling or looking cakey.I think it's quite long lasting too, It's great for my skin as I struggle with dry skin a lot, I find it really moisturising. The only downside is that I had to get a shade lighter than my actual skin tone as I found when I first tried it throughout the day it seemed as though it got darker on my skin I first used the shade 52 vanille clair and I am now using 51 vanille.

The Body shop moisture foundation-£13

I was quite hesitant wether to buy this or not as I had seen quite a few mixed reviews on it, some people said they hated it because they couldn't get the right shade or it went patchy throughout the day. However, I personally loved this foundation as I have already mentioned my dry skin it didn't cling on to the dry patches of skin at all and gave a really glowy finish that lasted all day, I didn't have any problems with this foundation and most likely would buy this again.

Revlon nearly naked foundation- £8.99

Again, another foundation I loooved and of course re-purchased it several times, It comes in really good shades that don't have that pink or yellowy tone to them, they're pretty much close to natural skin tones.Whenever I wore it I didn't find it to go patchy towards the end of the day as again its pretty long lasting. what I really loved about it was that it gives such a natural look, It didn't go cakey no matter how much I put on so It's a buildable coverage which is great for when your having a good skin day and don't need too much and also when a lovely spot decides to appear in the middle of your head when your going somewhere where photo's are most likely to be took. Its also great for both dry/oily skin.

so theres three of my favourite drugstore foundations and my opinions on them I hope that maybe this could help you decide on a foundation to get if your not looking to spend too much but still want it to be worth the money. These are lovely foundations that I would recommend to anybody.
